Learning UX Design Skills
I can't begin to count the number of engineers I've worked with over the years that don't want to bother with the little details in their UX design. I’ve actually heard principal engineers say “I got the information on the screen, someone else can make it pretty.”
They've had designers do that for them, but what will you do when you don't have a designer or they’re too busy? Do you ship a bad experience?
Something I ran across a while ago was www.refactoringui.com
It’s well worth the price for any developer to grow their design skills and make them far more capable of operating without a designer. While I've not fully applied this to my properties yet, I’m planning on working on it.
Highly Recommended!
[PS: with this blog post I took some time to apply the some of principles to this blog]
